THANK YOU, THANK YOU & THANK YOU! I NEED to thank you TOM & Samantha- at ROCK so much. I was about to make a 30-year blunder with my current lender (A Major Bank). I promised my wife years ago, that we would do the classic Kitchen and Master Bath update. So, I was all set to do a cash out Re-Fi and they assured me that they really wanted to keep my business and offered me a substantial reduction, in my rates, to keep my business. My neighbor is in a marketing club that meets with some regularity and he said before you sign; you should call Tom McGinnis of a mortgage company who is a member with him. My neighbor said that he is a straight shooter and just a good guy in general. Literally this is two days before we were going to close. I had done all the DocuSign’s (with banker) and we had an address and time set for the deal. I took his advice, just to quite my conscience.
I can’t tell you how glad I made that contact. I called Tom and he asked a few preliminary questions, which I was fairly familiar with because we had already done the formal appraisal and survey on file all the Ts were crossed and Is were dotted. The only thing left was to close. Tom said let me check some things out and see what I can do for you. He called back in a couple hours and offered me a rate that was literally ½ point lower than my banker and with no points at closing! I asked him, “Are you sure?” and he said, “If your data is correct; We can do this?” He also mentioned, that most everything was still current and within time limits needed by the lender; so, we could get this done quickly. And we did. Both Tom and Samantha were very professional and especially prompt. If I called or emailed, they responded quickly. I was and am still impressed with the efficiency of the entire process. THANK YOU! Oh, did I mention that I was going to have to write a check (essentially) for $1,900 for points at my banker’s closing and left5 my checkbook in my pocket withy no points with Rock!!! You guys do rock.

After a year of moving to Houston and we selected our dream home and started the look-out for a mortgage expert. The shopping wasn’t fun – As we started our first application process with a national bank, after 6 weeks the experience was horrendous. We totally lost our hope on this house and almost at a point of losing this property. My realtor Chris Bowers referred to Mike Ogg from Rock Mortgage, local to Houston. Chris said just a short statement about Mike “Give him a call and I promise you won’t regret”. I still remember, it was one of the best decisions that I had ever made calling Mike and introduced being the situation on hand. Right from that day and till current day, I failed to see an “indifferent” Mike – the same utmost care attitude, focused on tasks, professionalism, friendly and especially being brutally “honest” with you regardless of bad/ugly/normal your application content may be. He never gave up in my case, which was very challenging to bring all compliance rules together meeting the underwriter approving pre-conditions. I was nervous about working with someone based on past experiences, but Mike was honest with us, informative, and allowed us to ask the most minute questions, and he answered them where I could understand. I trust what he tells me, and always brings the excitement buying the house. Besides, I also had the pleasure of working his team, Orlando and Joseph, a very helpful and pleasant group of people to speak with.
Mike kept the ball rolling and the process was completed in the time frame promised. There were absolutely no surprises at settlement. Mike has a thorough and comprehensive knowledge of the finance and mortgage industry. I found him to always be current on all the newest product offerings, procedures and laws associated with the industry. I would describe him as professional, knowledgeable, reliable, pleasant to deal with, and most of all totally devoted to providing the highest level of customer support/service.
